R&D Collaborations Program

The R&D Collaborations Program is designed to pursue, establish, and manage strategic R&D collaborations with academia, industry, not-for- profits, and other government organizations.

With this program, USRA’s R&D Collaboration Management team works closely with NASA Ames Directorates and PI’s to set up collaborations in leading edge technical research areas as prioritized by NASA. This involves creating processes for identifying, selecting, prioritizing and vetting opportunities; as well as subsequently managing them for sustained benefit to NASA’s Ames Research Center (ARC).

These collaborations will provide cutting edge research and development to advance existing and new areas of research, and provide value and benefit the mission of ARC. On an annual basis, research areas will be prioritized, collaboration plans development, and successes documented and highlighted. The goal of the R&D Collaboration Program is to provide ARC with capabilities to fulfill mission requirements from fundamental research and development through field-test deployments and operational science missions.
