Exploration Technology: Dr. Jeffrey Marshall Receives 2022 Ames Honor Award

Jeffrey Marshall, Ph.D., Associate Scientist (USRA) received a 2022 NASA Ames Honor Award for being an exceptional contractor employee. Jeffrey Marshall, Ph.D. (USRA) and the other Ames Honor Awards recipients will be honored in an upcoming virtual ceremony.

Biography: 

Jeffrey Marshall has a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Southern California and is currently a Research Scientist for USRA at NASA Ames Research Center. His research is in the field of quantum information science where he is trying to understand how, and why, quantum mechanics can be used to help us build more efficient computers. His main research focus is open quantum systems including noisy quantum systems, in order to help understand the role of noise in quantum computation. In addition, he has an undergraduate degree in Mathematics & Physics (MMathPhys) and an MSc in computer science.
