November 2020
Dr. Jin-Woo Han, Ph.D., Senior Scientist (USRA) was selected as the Distinguished Lecturer (DL) for Nanotechnology by Nanotechnology Council (NTC) of the IEEE for 2021. The DL's can be invited by the NTC chapters worldwide to give lectures. Dr. Han will be invited to lecture and discuss two topics which are Nanoscale Vacuum Tubes (Back to the Future?) and Printed and Flexible Electronics.
This distinction is given to IEEE members who are accomplished in their fields of interest. As evidenced by high impact journal publications, patents and practical implementation, Dr. Han was selected for his research area in nanotechnology and nanoelectronics. Dr. Han has been working on printed and flexible electronics for multiple years, sponsored by the On Demand Manufacturing of Electronics (ODME) project of the In Space Manufacturing (ISM) program, managed at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC). His work on nanoscale vacuum tube project has been supported by NASA Science Mission Directorate (SMD) for potential Europa orbiter/lander missions. Dr. Han has received three other IEEE awards in the last seven years in all of the above areas.
